UOI Lecture Series Episode 6: Overuse Injuries in Young Athletes

There’s no doubt about it, playing sports is great for a teen’s mental and physical health. However, as more children and teens participate in organized sports – sometimes year-round – we’re seeing an alarming increase in the number of teen athletes suffering from overuse injuries. In fact, nearly half of all sports injuries in middle and high school students are caused by overuse.

In this episode of our Community Lecture Series, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Aristides Cruz discusses the why, what, and how of overuse injuries in adolescent athletes.
