myUOIstory: 5 Months after knee replacement, Brian bikes up Mt. Washington

Tired of being in pain, Brian – an avid bicyclist – sought the help of University Orthopedics surgeon Eric Cohen, MD after exhausting all of his non-surgical treatment options. After consultation, Brian realized total knee replacement was his best option if he wanted to continue to ride.

He had the procedure last March at University OrthopedicsEast Bay Surgery Center and was home the very same day to begin his recovery. Five months later, yes five months, Brian was not only back on his bike, he successfully biked up Mt. Washington, the tallest peak in the northeast.

Here’s his incredible myUOIstory.
